Video fees are charged when your licence plate has been recognised and used to charge the trip fee.
All Australian toll road operators can charge video fees when a trip is made, and no tag is identified. The amount charged is set by the individual road operator (TfNSW or Transurban), and the fee covers the cost to process the toll to the correct account.
There are two types of video fees:
These fees will appear on your account/statement as video matching fee/video processing fee.
If you are travel interstate, video fees may differ; refer to other motorway operators to confirm their fees.
Video processing fees are charged to customers when a vehicle linked to a Pass product travels on any NSW toll road. When you travel on a toll road, your vehicle's Licence Plate Number will be photographed and matched to your Pass.
With a Pass, a standard video processing fee of $0.75 (for each trip) will apply when you travel on any NSW toll road.
Video matching fees are charged for matching your licence plate number to your E-Toll Tag account when a tag is not detected in your vehicle at the time of travel.
Video matching fees could range from $0.55 to $0.75 depending on the toll road travelled.
You may have been charged video matching fees because:

If you're travelling interstate vehicle matching fees may differ. These fees are set by each toll road as follows:

Clem 7 | $0.60 per toll point |
Gateway Motorway | $0.60 per toll point |
Go-Between Bridge | $0.60 per toll point |
Logan Motorway | $0.60 per toll point |
Toowoomba Bypass | $0.60 per toll point |
If you have a tag in your vehicle and you have been charged a video matching fee you should check that your tag is installed correctly as per the tag installation guide.
If your tag is installed correctly and still not beeping or you believe your tag is faulty, call 13 18 65 or visit any Service NSW centre with your tag, as you may need to order a replacement tag. You may also be eligible to receive a credit for any video matching fees you have incurred.
To avoid receiving video matching fees on your tag account, ensure your tag is in your vehicle and mounted correctly before driving on a toll road. Make sure your licence plate is linked to your account, you maintain a positive account balance and any credit/debit card linked to the account has not expired.
