Account and vehicle details

How do I update my contact details on my account?

You can update your address, phone number and email address online by logging in to your account, selecting 'my details' and then 'customer details'. You can also call 13 18 65 or visit any Service NSW centre.

How do I update / change my name on my E-Toll account?

You can request a name change on your account by logging in, raising an enquiry and uploading the supporting documents.

Supporting documents must be one of the following (certified copy):

  • A marriage certificate issued by the Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages in Australia
  • A divorce decree (bearing the name being reverted to)
  • A change-of-name certificate.

Can I authorise another person to access my E-Toll account?

Yes. When you open your account, you can authorise an unlimited number of contacts to have access to it. You must have your additional contacts permission to provide their personal details.

If you need to add additional contacts after your account is opened, log in to your account and raise an enquiry and provide their title, full name, acknowledgment of the contacts permission to provide personal details and one of the following:

  • Email
  • Contact phone/mobile number

You can also add additional contacts by calling 13 18 65.

Please note: All additional contacts will log in using the same password created to open the account. They will not have a unique password. By adding a contact, you accept full responsibility for any actions they take in relation to your account.

How many vehicles can I have on my account?

Depending on the tag product chosen, there may be a limit on the number of vehicles you can link to your account.

  • Pre-paid accounts have no limits on the number of vehicles allowed on the account (a minimum of one).
  • Pensioners who hold a pension card issued by the Department of Human Services (Centrelink) showing a NSW address have no limits on the number of vehicles allowed on the account (a minimum of one). And are eligible to be exempt from the quarterly postal fees as long as the pension card is valid and in the account holder's name (supporting documents must be presented/submitted).
  • Consulates and Diplomats and TPI or DVA cardholders can only have one vehicle on an account and are exempt from paying toll fees on the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour Tunnel (supporting documents must be presented/submitted).

When a vehicle linked to your account travels without a correctly installed tag, you will be charged a video processing fee per trip. You can reduce your fees by ensuring every vehicle has a correctly installed tag, and your licence plate number/s are linked to your account.

What if I sell my vehicle or buy a new vehicle?

If you sell your vehicle and have an E-Toll account with us, in accordance with the instructions on your registration papers, you must remove the tag from the vehicle before the sale to prevent unauthorised toll charges from being applied to your account. Log in to your account and remove the plate number immediately, call Customer Service on 13 18 65 or visit any Service NSW centre and they can remove it for you.

You will remain liable for any toll charges up until you ask E-Toll to remove your vehicle from your account.

You can use your old tag in your new vehicle. If you plan to drive through a toll point after collecting your new vehicle, please install the tag and add your vehicle's licence plate number before you travel to avoid a toll notice.

You can update your vehicle details or remove a plate number from your account by logging in to your account and selecting 'vehicles' or call 13 18 65.

Can I add, remove or update vehicles on my account?

Yes. Log in to your account, and select 'vehicles'. You can then view all vehicles linked to your account, and add, edit, or delete vehicles/licence plate numbers.

As soon as you have linked your licence plate number to your account, you can travel on any toll road in Australia. Any trips will be charged to your account and a vehicle-matching fee if you travel without a tag.

If you have sold your car, remember to delete it from your account, so you are not paying for someone else's travel.

Please ensure the details you enter are correct; if you incorrectly enter the licence plate number, you will be liable for tolls/charges incurred, and these fees may not be refunded.

Please refer to our terms and conditions.

Why am I getting an additional tag when I am adding an LPN to my account online?

The system will automatically default to issue you a tag. If you don’t wish to receive a tag, please ensure you untick the checkbox on the vehicles you do not need a tag for.

What do I do with the additional tag I don’t need?

Please return your tag to your nearest Service Centre or post the tag to:
